Philosophy is the love an pursuit of truth, the path to self realisation, spiritual awakening, the meaning of life, the purpose of living, the understanding of the mind and its perception of the world and others. The truth that releases the mind from confusion and complexity. frees it from struggle and despair. Liberates the mind and spirit from anxiety stresses to make life more peaceful pleasurable and cognisant in its relativity to the self.
Each Philosopher traveled upon a path from the awakening of the need for understanding from one incidental truth or metaphor, to collating the myriad of truths and philosophies into one truth that would set it free, awaken the mind, liberate it from the darkness of ignorance fear and insecurity. some pursue philosophy as an i=academic intellectual love of the art of thinking, others entrapped by confusion and uncertainty find the course and search for truths to define the perfect way of thinking, for the perfect way of living towards creation of a perfected society and thereby world, if only for the individual and its relation to the world.
It leads to many answers and sometimes absolutes that fulfil the need for the epiphanic truth. Sometimes just the addictive love of words sense intelligence understanding itself is as pleasurable and satisfactory. Sometimes it is a lifelong search of many branches pathways worlds until only upon death do we finally realise the truth that was with us, walked alongside us and was life death ad living in its entirety.
Within the abode of the mind, whether it be a cave, a tent, a mud hut, a straw dwelling, a terraced or detached house, an apartment or mansion of our mind, our life perspective accordingly differs from each metaphorical perspective of how we perceive the world, truth and others and ourselves. However grand or humble.
This is purely a metaphysical analogy of Philosophy as I see it today, contained within this one response at this juncture on this day in this moments. life changes, minds later, circumstances differ and thereby our views and opinions. Such is the symphonic rich tapestry of life and living and the academic, intellectual, emotional and spiritual pursuit of truth that is Philosophy.
