Why vote Democrat and stand for higher taxes, open borders, more spending, larger deficits, less freedom...?

Update:

No matter what the candidate tells you they are still going to vote the way that Schumer and Pelosi tell them.

Well, some people are really stupid.

  • Republicans is the best reason to vote Democrats. FYI, at least Democrats want to pay for their spending ( the higher taxes regressives whine about). Deficits went down under Democrats and explode under fiscally responsible Republicans.

Every time the tax rates or fee's are imposed on the supposed rich, they figure out how to offset it and pass it right on down to the middle class. Any increase in spending by either side, always ends up with the middle paying.

You should actually independently investigate what various Democratic candidates' actual policy positions are rather that just going by what the right-wing talking heads tell you to think.

    > stand for higher taxes

Would rather have lower taxes on the working class rather than the wealthy. If Dems want tax increases, it's to cover things like healthcare or tuition, which would save the vast majority of people $$

    > open borders

Almost nobody wants "open borders", and it's nowhere in the Democratic Party's platform. Democrats simply recognize the humanity of people, acknowledge that we are a nation of immigrants, and want law enforcement at the border that works (e.g. question the efficacy of a wall, what about wildlife/the environment, etc.)

    > "more spending, larger deficits"

Democrats have been better at this than Republicans dating back to WWII, Obama is likely an exception though.

    > "less freedom..."

It's not about less freedom at all, quite the opposite - it is about ensuring access to opportunities for people to better themselves. Are you free if you don't know where your next meal is? Or if an accident would bankrupt you? Negative liberty is a thing.

Not true...not I plan to vote Democrat (I'm Independent and will vote the person not the party). However, the Democrats only want to tax the RICH (over $1mil) at higher rates, they don't want 'open borders' they want decent immigration reform; Trump is already spending more and more, how can they do worse? The deficit is larger under Trump than Obama, there are no 'freedoms' they want to take away except the 'freedom' to destroy our environment.
