Use the Ideal Gas Equation

PV = nRT

P ; to be found

V = 23.0 L = 0.023 m^3

n = moles O2 = 441./32 = 1.378125 moles

R = the gas constant 8.314

T 327 K

Substituting in

P = nRT/V

P = 1.378125 x 8.314 x 327 / 0.023

P = 162,899.049 Pa

P = 1.607 atms.

Use the gas equation:

PV = nRT

P = pressure = ?

V = volume = 23.0L

n = moles O2 = 44.1g/32g/mol = 1.378 mol

R = gas constant = 0.082057

T = temperature = 327K

Substitute and solve for P

P*23.0 = 1.378*0.082057*327

P = 1.378*0.082057*327/ 23.0

P = 1.6077atm

Answer: Pressure = 1.61 atm
