Can i be a probation officer with a criminal record?

My freshman year of college I was a mess and got charged with possession of marijuana and public intoxication. I completed my probation of good behavior and got both of my charges dropped. Even though I wasn t convicted, I do know it will show up on my background check. Will this affect me will applying to be a probation officer?

If you have a warrant, that means the charges HAVE NOT been resolved one way or the other.

You CANNOT become a probation officer with ANY pending charges.

Note even knowing the MEANING of a warrant will hurt your chances FAR more than your criminal record.
