My manager won't talk to me anymore?

My manager used to always talk to me about my day and smile when he walked by. A few days ago he walked past me and I smiled and said "how are you?" And he just made a small grin and walked away. He was doing that all day and wouldn't say anything to me but was talking a lot to everyone else. Then the next day he did the same thing. I asked him how he's day was going and he didn't say anything.

I'm not sure what I did, so it's weird he's acting like that.

Should I ask him if I did anything wrong? Or just forget about it?

Forget about it. He probably has a lot of things to contend with in his work or private life and not in the mood for friendly smalltalk. I wouldn't take it personally.

Maybe his dog died... leave it alone.

  • So get to work, this isn't happy fun time.

You're not at work to socialize. I suggest when you go to work, work. Don't flirt with the manager.

He is playing you so you make a bigger effort at work to impress him so he'll comment pleasantly.

You should talk to him about it.
