What are some good books about Alien invasions?

Something good, nothing teen, please. Maybe something about destroying the planet, or humans having to move to another planet or something.

Thank you,

Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke, who also authored 2001: A Space Odyssey and its sequels. The book tells of the decades-long peaceful invasion by a group called the Overlords. Clarke is a masterful writer and you won't see the ending coming.

Have you ever read an interactive story? Have you ever heard of episode interactive?

There you can find a story called "Esmeria" and you get to make your own choices along the way.

It is about an alien that gets stuck on earth warning a girl about an alien invasion. Earth is predestined to become overthrown by aliens. She then has to convince this alien that planet Earth is worth saving.

You should give it a try since it is free!

another vote for The War of the Worlds with I had thought I read ( but had seen at least two movies and listened to at least two audio dramas of) until SFF Audio podcast posted the book from LibriVox then did a discussion show the next episode https://www.sffaudio.com/the-sffaudio-podcast-468-...

One of my favorites is Scott Sigler's Infected much is the original version was my introduction to podcasted audio books. Warning Strong Language, Gore, and Lots and Lots of Violence in Scott's non YA books

https://player.fm/series/infected-by-scott-sigler I think his current book Earthcore counts too but spoilers https://scottsigler.com/

Ender's Game preferably the audio drama of the First Meetings addition

Now here's a different kind of Alien invasion: "Leviathan Wakes" by James S. A. Corey.

It's an invasion that was accidentally thwarted for many millennia, and then starts up after humans have colonized Mars and the Asteroid Belt. And it was in the form of something like a plague. Or was it?

Read The War of the Worlds. You may think it's old and crusty, but it's one of the classic great books. You will love it. It's been a long time since I read sci fi and I don't know any others like what you ask. But The Foundation Trilogy is another great one and it's about conquest and exploration and such. Isaac Asimov. And searching I just found that it was expanded to more than a trilogy. I only read the first three, back in the day. There's no ray guns in The Martian Chronicles but it's another classic.
