we believe our cucumbers and cantaloupe (and maybe more) of our plants have gotten mosaic virus, can we still eat the fruits/veggies?

there is yellowing in the leaves (like yellow spots)

    Yes. Cucumber mosaic virus does not affect the fruits. It will probably kill the plants, though, so you don't have long left.

    Also, as a general rule with fruit and vegetable plant pests and diseases, if the fruit or vegetable looks fine (right colour, texture, firmness, etc) then it is fine. No plant disease can affect people, nor do they render the fruits or vegetables poisonous. The only potential issue is that it may cause the fruit or vegetables to rot. But if it's not rotten, the it's fine. Indeed, even if it is, you can often cut out the bad bit and eat the rest.
