Can we agree that there is no need for shopper ID laws?

There has been no evidence that grocery fraud occurs on a widespread basis, and restrictive Shopper ID laws only serve to prevent eligible shoppers from buying their groceries on shopping day.

There are no such laws but prudent merchants almost always require an ID if you pay by check and often ask for ID to verify that the credit or debit card you are using is really yours. And, of course, you needed ID to get that card and to open the bank account you use to get cash from if that is how you pay.

No one is talking about shopper ID laws or trying to establish any.

It is not an issue, issue is with voter fraud.
