what is the significance of over night mushroom growing in your garden?

    Most likely there are dead roots or other decaying plant material under the surface.

    The actual mushroom or fungus "plant" is usually composed of fine thread-like mycelial growth, the visible mushrooms are the fruit of that plant.

    Mushrooms spread by wind borne spores and they "sprout up" when conditions are right. There is really no significance.
