Absolutely! We love cats, but frankly don't enjoy being around dogs at all. Don't like their needy, "in your face" personalities, don't like being jumped on, hate having my face licked. Hate the sound of barking, hate having to follow them around with a baggie picking up their poop, hate that the stink unless you bathe them regularly.
Now about our wonderful pair of Ocicats: Very laid back and affectionate, always sleep in bed with us but never wake us up. Since cats are self cleaning they never stink like dogs, and instead of that really irritating WOOF! WOOF! we are met with quiet "meow"s that we find quite pleasant. Of course they are perfect about using their litter box, not one accident it over six years. Very bonded with us, follow us around the house and come when called. They rarely scratch furniture or jump on kitchen counter. Our little girl Viola, who decided shortly after joining us over five years ago that she was "daddy's girl", usually tries to help with whatever I am working on and on chilly nights crawls under the covers with me. Both are playful, our older girl Saphira plays fetch, while Viola plays catch. We feel very lucky to have these wonderful felines in our lives, they are just absolute joys!
