No. If you're the bride, this is entirely about you but you need to understand that others don't feel that way. Having been a best man 13 times (don't ask), while you want to be excited, the reality is that while the betrothed couple is excited, I still have a full time++ job and other goings-on that I can't ignore so don't take offence if a bridesmaid isn't 24/7 excited. Your bridesmaids have jobs, families, boyfriends/girlfriends to deal with. In addition, keep in mind that they're likely on the hook to buy a dress that they'll never wear again (in all likelihood), plus a gift for you, plus organise a hen night/bachelorette party (for you), and that's not even factoring in any travel costs (hotel for sure, but add on airfare/ground transport if they have to fly to your wedding). Not that it matters but my advice to any couple getting married is ditch the idea of having bridesmaids wear matching dresses; I've been to weddings where the bridesmaids were asked to buy their own dresses, and they were uniformly happier (I own a tux so I don't need or want a rental).
