The native Americans practiced slavery, where is your outrage?

It was well known that the Native Americans enslaved the people of the tribes they conquered.

However, I have never seen any liberal outraged because of this

Interesting point ,slavery among native American tribes was the road to being accepted as a member of that tribe . Slavery was not in perpetuity nor did it make you of inferior status.

The "The Five Civilized Tribes" of North American Indians also enslaved Black people. Only the Blacks living with the Seminole Indians had any rights.

According to history, slavery has been one of the oldest practice in the world. All civilizations, from primitive to advanced, practised it as a natural way of life. Wars often provided the easiest opportunity to acquire 'cheap labour' and deprivation of individual liberty.

However, it appears that a large number of enslaved people - who could belong to any race - led happy and even successful lives, and many of these bought or were given their freedom within the same societies.

But one can also imagine that there was also abuse in such practice, since humanity can be cruel as well as generous. But to claims that one race only can be viewed as being guilty of enslaving other human beings is misleading.

There isnt any... outrage is from the BLACKS who make themselves live in the PAST instead of the present... They are the only one who cry about the past.,,,, EVERY RACE HAS BEEN ENSLAVED by some other at some point and time in history...

In Salem, MA, men and women were accused of practicing witchcraft and Christians crushed to death by stone or hung them. I have never seen any conservative express outrage because of this.

Was it "slavery" or "hostage taking" during guerilla warfare, in retaliation for invading and settling on their lands, driving out their food sources and then themselves?

The whites raided and destroyed native villages too, killing their women and children. Perhaps it was "You kill our women and children so we will take yours and make them ours."

This people were war captives and actually treated decently. Their children were not automatic slaves but were, instead, new members of the tribe and the captive could win their freedom after so many years.
