Would you need to recuse yourself if you were chosen to be on a jury?

where Donald Trump was being tried for crimes against America?

Update:

In other words, have you already found him not guilty or guilty?

You can't recuse yourself from a jury. A lawyer or the judge decides whether to dismiss you.

  • No. I'd be happy to convict him.

No. Sometimes, the defendant is known to all the potential jurors. I saw this once in a civil case against a Midas Muffler shop. You just have to suck it up and decide the case on its merits. Besides, a juror can't recuse himself. You could, however, make yourself appear to be unpalatable to one side or the other.

I would not recuse myself because I have no conflicts of interests with Trump.

I would like to see all the evidence Mueller has before casting a verdict. That's how the law works besides my biases.
