Can you store regular food in blood fridges?

I'm writing a story about this vampire that gets a human roommate but the vampire owns a fridge that's specifically made to store blood packs.

Is it safe to store food in those types of fridges? If not, what happens/could happen to the food? Or the blood?

And as for specific foods, just regular fridge-storing food like eggs, fruits, some vegetables and milk.

Thanks!

think about this..why would blood in containers be suddenly dangerous when blood in meat isn't, as long as its contained?

If the blood cannot get out of the containers in your story, how would anything dangerous that is in the blood?

Since it is all fictional - then you can write whatever the F you want. But no problem as long as the blood or the food is sealed. A leaking bag of blood could cross contaminate the food if it dripped on it. (Hep C etc.) Just like a leaking bag of beef or chicken.

you could, but in a professional monitored setting im sure they worry about cross-contamination ..
