That depends on which political stance you take!. Either North America or Central America is usually the way for Mexico.

Many authorities do not show Central America at al, but in general that covers Mexico down to Panama.

Geologically, it is part of North America. In geopolitical terms it is variously considered part of North America and Central America. In terms of language and culture it is part of Latin America.

No. Sometimes it's considered "North America" and sometimes "Mesoamerica," but nobody categorizes it as "South America."

It can also be classified as "Latin America," which is a mashup category of physical location and culture -- technically, "Latin America" would also include French-speaking areas such as Quebec that are far away from the Spanish-speaking regions.
