Does Yahoo Answers come in different languages or is this primarily English version the only version?

This is the English only version..There are versions in other languages. All posts here in another language are violations, unless they are in the Languages category asking about a translation of how to say something on another language.
If you go to your Answers activity, click on Edit next to your avatar, and on the next page scroll down the list on the left side of the page you will see a link that says 'International'. Click that and it brings up a list of all the other versions of Yahoo Answers, for other languages.

YA iomes in twelve different languages and there is an Arabic version of YA. All the English language questions are listed together. If you want English language questions from a specific country, you need to change your location in Yahoo profile in your account settings, NOT your YA activity profile.
"...Yahoo! Answers was created to replace Ask Yahoo!, Yahoo!'s former Q&A platform which was discontinued in March 2006. The site gives members the chance to earn points as a way to encourage participation and is based on Naver's Knowledge iN. Yahoo! Answers is available in 12 languages, but several Asian sites operate a different platform which allows for non-Latin characters. The platform is known as Yahoo! Chiebukuro (Yahoo!知恵袋) in Japan and as Yahoo! Knowledge in Korea, Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong. An Arabic language Q&A platform called Seen Jeem is available through the Yahoo! subsidiary Maktoob...."
YA has been flooded with Asian language spam and solicitations for over a month. There are just too many of these questions for any one person to report, but VERIZON staff is not going to report those questions for you. That is NOT their job. EVERYONE is moderator and a reporter on YA.Posting questions in the wrong language is a ToS violation.

I haven't seen many other languages being used on this site, but that doesn't mean its users only speak English.

Nope, there's only one version, which is this.
There used to be many different countries for Y!A, such as Y!A USA, Y!A Australia etc, but they have done away with all that. But even then, the questions and answers you posted would show in all Y!A platforms. The country thing was basically just decoration.
