Yes, the Almighty does have enemies those who are trying to not only reject Him but fight Him in arrogance and challenge His might. Especially those who claim they are 'god' or almighty and think no one not even God can do nothing to them. Those types God hates. God is the Subtle Planner, the Subduer, the Compeller, etc. He gives His enemies time, He plans in subtlety and finally they fall into their own doom. They fall into the traps of the Almighty. When God is very angry with some people, they have earned His curse and His powerful plan of destruction upon them. He destroys them all on the earth or a lot worse on Judgement Day. When someone has earned the wrath and curse of God, that spells 'doom' for them if they don't repent to God and submit.
If God dealt with people the way they exactly deserve on earth, no one would survive or live earth. He is indeed Patient and still provides sustenance as people keep sinning and doing wrong. He doesn't take away from what they have.
He is a Patient, Subtle, Scheming God before unleashing His punishment upon those who are deserving of. God especially doesn't like those who worship Him along with other things and those who are boastful of what they have. Those who show it off all they have and think of themselves as mighty or 'powerful'. Those types God destroys as He sets His traps for them and His plan then He unleashes. They fall into and go to hell the moment they die and in hell, they are being punished severely. A great punishment is upon them. It had happened to a man who only desired wealth beyond the limits that is unhealthy and did so in boasting as well. He did everything that a person is not suppose to do, he behaved like a greedy king and the moment in his heart was filled with glory or saw himself as better than everyone and how great he thought of himself; he felt a kind of happiness that is driven by one's own desires when his eyes lit up when he saw his wealth. A vault of his wealth out in public for all to see and huge, heavy logs that were used as the keys to the doors were opened by multiple men. Even the men had trouble with lifting and removing the keys from place. The very public saw the way his eyes lit up, greedily and happy in a sense. That kind of happiness or joy because of materialism exceedingly God forbids. Something greedy and selfish beyond the limits than what's really important in life.
God punished him through His traps that were set for him. He had the earth swallow him up and all his possessions along with it. He then went to hell after his terrible death and will never come out. That man challenged God in that way, his heart was so ugly and all he could think of was all he had instead of remembering God. Instead of being humble and thanking God for what he has, instead thought of himself as great or magnificent and credited himself for what God gave him.
