I worked so hard all my life, I have a college degree, but still no luck with women, should I give up then?

I am not sure what women are looking for. I've been told I'm not bad looking, just not very tall, only 5'3". I wish I was tall but I understand most women don't want midgets. I read somewhere short guys like me marry later in life while tall guys marry early.
