Trump never attended a funeral after 9/11. The very few surviving parents of those who died in the Korean war would 105-125 years old- no way he spoke to any of them. Is there lie he won't tell? No low to which he will not stoop?

Trump is a friendly guy and considers acquaintances to be friends. There were lots of wealthy businessmen in those towers the Trump probably knew from golf, dinners, charities...in NY. He may not have been able to name their wife but he shook their hand and said hello when he saw them.

The parents comments was of the cuff and was basically saying families. You are being overly technical. At least he did not call them corpse men.
