    Hello "Real Liberal",

    People (often those to the “Left” politically) who support the Palestinians, have likely been hoodwinked into misplaced-compassion, due to successful Palestinian propaganda-falsehoods.

    “PEW Research Center” survey on Democrat and Republican member sympathy between Israel and the Palestine Arabs, shows greater support for Israel’s enemies among Democrats:

    Israel cannot in law be accused of illegal “occupation” for the following three reasons.

    It is not possible to illegally-occupy a region, that was:

    1) LAST under the illegal-occupation of a third party: This means prior to the 1967 war, the illegal-occupation by Jordan of the West Bank and East Jerusalem, and by Egypt of Gaza.

    2) Where all the land in question rightfully belongs to the party, here Israel, accused of the alleged “occupation”:

    All the land upon which the Palestinian colonists reside, is of previous Jewish sovereign states of the Kingdoms of Israel / Judea.

    3) Where the claim of “occupation” is made by an entity, here “Palestine”, which never existed as a sovereign state.

    There has never been any “Palestine” sovereign state upon which the Palestinian Arabs could either”:

    > Base any claim on the land of Israel.

    > Claim any alleged illegal “occupation”.

    Israel is the only country to which the all the land in question can rightfully belong, since the last indigenous sovereign state in the land before Israel, was the Jewish Hasmonean Kingdom of Judea which included (what is now East) Jerusalem as its capital and also the West Bank and Gaza).

    Therefore just as Israel / the Jewish People logically cannot:

    Or “steal”,

    or “illegally-settle”,

    or “colonize”,

    its OWN ancestral homeland,

    it also cannot logically “illegally-occupy” its OWN ancestral homeland.

    Usage by Israeli sources of the term “occupied areas” is inaccurate and should cease. To non-Israelis the term falsely-implies “Israeli land-theft”, while simply appeasing false Palestinian propaganda; appeasement is a failed policy.

    The only valid prior name for the land belongs to the previous indigenous sovereign states before the Re-establishment of Israel in 1948, being either Jewish Israel or Jewish Judea.

    Pro-Palestinians falsely-claim that the Palestinians were in the land first and that Israeli Jews all come from Europe, whereas the Jewish People have had unbroken presence in their ancestral homeland of Israel since Biblical times - See the “Demographic history of [Israel] Palestine”:

    The Jewish People have had an unbroken presence in their ancestral homeland of Israel since Biblical times, and also previous sovereign states in the land for example the Jewish Hasmonean Kingdom of Judea (including the West Bank and Gaza) with its capital of (what is now East) Jerusalem, and independent as at 110 BCE / 753 BH–752 BH:

    A view regarding Israel as being in “illegal occupation” of any part of the Jewish People's ancestral homeland of Israel / Judea is typically due to:

    Latent anti-Semitism and

    the influence of the Arab-dominated United Nations.

    People are mislead due to the “halo-reputation” enjoyed by the Arab-dominated United Nations. U.N. polices are fully-complicit with Palestinian propaganda denying Jewish roots in the land of Israel.

    United Nations polices are fully-complicit with Palestinian propaganda denying Jewish roots in the land of Israel. The U.N. and its structures have for many years been dominated by the block-vote of up to 56 Arab and additional Islamic-aligned countries (e.g. U.N. member states that are also members of the “Organization of Islamic Cooperation”), plus the influence of Arab oil money; compared to Israel being just one country.

    The consequence of the Arab domination of the U.N., is that the U.N. falsely-regards the Jewish People as “invaders” and therefore treats the Jews as “thieves” and “illegal-occupiers” of the Jews OWN land (all the areas of land are of the Jewish kingdoms of Judea / Israel), and also likewise illogically of building “illegal-settlements” there.

    Thus the reader is entitled to consider that the U.N.'s many anti-Israel resolutions carry zero moral weight.

    In deploying their propaganda-falsehoods against Israel, the Palestinians find they are “pushing at an open door” since many people are more than willing to believe them, while being unwilling to attempt to verify if it is factual, due to anti-Semitism. Nor do such people require any reasonable or proper moral standard from the Palestinians, again often due to anti-Semitism (about which such people are often in denial).

    Palestinian propaganda is highly successful; comparable to that of Nazi Germany. In summary, it promotes the falsehood that the Palestinians are “victims”, that the Jews are the (fake) cause of all Palestinian perceived issues;

    whereas in reality:

    > The Palestinians are no “victims”.

    > Rather, the Palestinians are victim-makers.

    Palestinian ethnic-hatred of Jewish people has not changed since the Palestinian support of the Nazis in the second world war. Due to ethnic-hatred of Jewish people and also territorial ambitions, the Palestinian education system in the Palestinian Territories practices mind-abuse, teaching:

    > Hatred of Jewish people,

    > a false victim-mentality,

    > that Israel does not exist (aka the Palestinian false-claim to ALL the land of Israel);

    > and similar to the propaganda of Nazi Germany, that the Jew / Israel is the (fake) cause of all Palestinian alleged issues:

    Example of Palestinian propaganda that the Jew / Israel, is the (fake) cause of all Palestinian alleged issues:

    The Palestinian Territories have a problem of child sexual abuse, while the Palestinians try to deceive the world it is all Israeli's fault for causing Palestinians “stress” by Israel deploying an economic-blockade – an economic-blockade due to Palestinian rocket attacks (see further down) on Israel:

    The “Palestinian National Charter” seeks the expulsion of the Jewish People from the Jews ancestral homeland of Israel.

    (Please see the source which I have put into the “Sources” area of this answer.)

    Israel was Re-established in 1948 following a United Nations Partition Plan which had sought to set up two states, one Jewish and one Arab. The then Palestinian Jewish Community had accepted the U.N. Partition Plan, while the Palestinian-Arab response was in 1947 to start a civil war and terror, to oppose the U.N. Partition Plan and instead take ALL the land of Israel, and also to ethnically-cleanse or murder the Jewish population from the Jews ancestral homeland of Israel.

    In 1948 the Arab countries attacked the newly Re-established State of Israel, but the Arabs lost the war. Jordan then occupied the West Bank and East Jerusalem from which the Jordanians expelled the Jews. Egypt occupied the Gaza strip. Neither country offered these areas to the Palestinians.

    Palestinian propaganda falsely alleges the re-establishment of Israel caused: a “great injustice” / “nakba” (“catastrophe” / “disaster”) to the Palestinians.

    In reality:

    > The Palestinians violently rejected the Arab state of the United Nations Partition Plan;

    > Jordan and Egypt occupied the land proposed for an Arab state under the U.N. Partition Plan (approximating to the West Bank and Gaza);

    > BOTH Arabs and Jews, became war-refugees;

    > The Palestinians claim falsely with no evidence of any such policy that they were expelled from the land; Jews were indeed expelled by the Arabs as policy. Palestinians live and work in Israel.

    Therefore the reader is entitled to be sceptical about Palestinian propaganda falsely alleging a fantasy-injustice.

    While there is no evidence that Israel targets civilians, the Palestinians are addicted to ethnic-hatred of Jews, and due also to territorial ambitions, seek to ethnically-cleanse the Jewish People from the Jewish People's ancestral homeland of Israel, targeting Israeli Jewish civilians as policy including children.

    Due to anti-Semitism (about which they may also be in denial) many people, possibly hoodwinked by the successful Palestinian propaganda-lies, quite simply do not require any reasonable or proper moral standard from the Palestinians, who cynically term their anti-Jewish hate-war:

    “uprising”, “defence”, “desperation”, “struggle”, “resistance”:

    Palestinians are paid a “pension” to murder Jewish Israelis including children, yet while Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas condemns the ISIS murder of children in Manchester, England – see my answer at:

    Palestinian rocket attacks on Israeli cities:

    It seems the Palestinians use children as Child Suicide Bombers.

    (Please see the source which I have put into the “Sources” area of this answer.)

    It also seems that the Palestinians clear schools, designate them officially as “shelters”, and then fire rockets from them aimed at Israeli cities, to draw Israeli retaliatory fire:

    I hope this helps.

    It's not really a phobia...now is it? It's a hatred. There really is a difference between fear and hatred. Definitions must be properly applied. Consider goals, values and priorities. That's why the left chooses with care what it will discuss.

    False assumptions and false reasoning lead to false conclusions. And feelings come and go while facts/choices/consequences remain long after the feelings have changed.

    Choose wisely.

    Homophobia is an individual issue. The occupation of Palestine is a collective issue and an instance of repression.
