do you always inhale with vape pen (weed)?

Question

I have a pen that has three settings, low, medium and high.

I find myself using low and medium the most and inhaling about half of the vapors that I create - the other half I just kinda play with. I think it helps me with not consuming too much, and it also is nice to just get a bunch of flavor at once.

does this seem like a waste? is it common for others that smoke this way? I know this question hardly matters at all - I am just curious

I outgrew weed some 40 years ago, as I don't like to be in full control of myself. I suggest you do the same.
