Register by VIN, body type = motorcycle. registration with a color code? maybe put Plaid? Color on registration of minor importance- might get a little hassle if stopped by police especially if the plate indicates 'Red' and that is color of stolen motorcycle report- Blackis common spray can color for quick change of stolen cycles looks.

The color is irrelevant. Like one poster stated, people may change the color at anytime.
What matters is that the VIN #, make/model and the year that match the title.

USA answer:
You don't have to tell anyone. People re-paint vehicles all of the time.
Nobody cares about the color of your vehicle. Tell what worker?
