Well, at least it's different than the previous administrations. They actually reached agreements for denuclearization of the north and promises to manufacture neither nukes, nor nuke components in the future.

Since it's obvious that agreements don't mean anything to the north, there's no point in making them. That being said, I think the decision was more about placating China than doing anything for North Korea.
