How do I make sure I do not fall in love with someone I don't want to fall in love with?

You keep on reminding yourself why you do NOT want to fall in love with them. Their flaws that doom any relationship, your wish to be happy in life, etc.

AND you avoid them. If you must be around them, never look AT them, and never talk to them any more than the absolute required minimum. And if you must look in their direction, never meet their eyes, never look at their face or body .. look at some point in space about 3-6 feet to one side of them instead.
