Since alcohol is made from sugar and yeast does that mean if I put bread water and sugar in a cup for awhile it turns into alcohol?

    That's called kvass. And, yes. And it can taste very very good if you work at it.

    More or less. What you're describing is called prison hooch. There are many recipes on Youtube.

    You forgot the yeast. But yes you might some variation of jailhouse hooch. True fermentation has to be done in a sterile environment.

    Maybe, but vinegar is more likely. Wild bacteria far outnumber wild yeasts.

    The yeast in baked bread is dead; it has been cooked. If you put live yeast, and sugar, and water... yes, it will ferment

    Yes it could. But it might take a month.

    Do you know what alcohol is?

    Alcohol is old poisonous sugar essentially.

    You leave sugar a long time with a fungus and it gives you an intoxicant.

    People are weird.. they spend their money to ruin their health.

    Put it in a warm place and it probably will, but it won't taste good
