Why are we not talking about the wall on the Mexican border anymore?

The promise of that wall is the main reason I voted for Trump. If construction hasn't at least began by 2020 he might not get my vote for reelection.

The 'wall' is dependent on Congress NOT the president since Congress must allocate the funds. Honestly, we need the money for other things than a redundant 'wall' when we have a perfectly good border fence and our illegal crossing rate is the lowest it has been in over a decade.

Because IT’S NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN. It’s just a talking point for Trump’s supporters. Unbelievable when Trump was bragging about our beautiful new wall going up, 1.6 billion, etc at the G7. Congress has allocated money to repair existing walls, not to build the one Trump keeps promising. So he lies to the world that the wall is under construction, and keeps lying to his supporters about it ever happening.

Congress is well aware the majority of Americans are against it, don’t want to pay for it and on top of that the border states don’t even want the damn thing.

Check for news stories. President Trump is still trying to get the wall built. He has not given up on his pledge. Congress has not cooperated.
