Is it okay to get a throttle body or egr valve or idle air control vavle from a car at the junk yard with low mileage on it if it looks good?

It's 'okay', but by the time you dig one out of a wrecked car that has been sitting there for god knows how long, you are probably better off just buying a new one off of e-bay or amazon.

You could but you won;t save that much money.

    Sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't.

Always be prepared to clean used parts. I wouldn't take a gamble on a used Idle Air Control valve. EGR valves get coked-up with hard carbon that needs rodding out. You can soften it with gasket remover spray or Techron, but you will do some a$$ and paw work on it. The vacuum dashpot is anybody's guess as far as quality is concerned, with a used egr valve. Good luck.
