Why do girls cry over celebrities ?

My sister was watching Charlies Angels she's crying over the girl who plays Sabrina I don't know who she is she's been watching this show since she was a kid she's always wanted to be like her also she's watched a few other shows she's been on too she said she kind of has a crush on her. She said all she wants is to give her a kiss. Also her dream is to be in a show or movie with her one day she's her idol. She's having a fit because she had a dream about her being with her. She said in her dream they kissed. She can't get to sleep she's worried she'll have the dream again it's 1:30 in the morning. How can I calm her down ? Why do girls cry over celebrities so much ?
