Russia is hardly a Christian nation. They outlawed religion in 1917 and only since the fall of communism has the Russian Orthodox Church become active again but most of their parishioners are the elderly. Church attendance is way lower than it is other European countries and certainly lower than in the US.

You must not know Russia, over half the nation is Asian. And they aren't Christian, most are atheists, and those that are, are members of the Eastern Orthodox Catholics.
