Is there a way to convert a fake graphics card back to what it really is?
I bought a GTX 650 at a yard sale for $5, but it's fake. It has DDR3 memory, but there's no such thing as a GTX 650 with DDR3, only GDDR5. I know it sucks, but I'm just wondering: whatever graphics card it really is, can I change it back, probably through a BIOS flash?

the first gtx650's could easily have been ddr3. in fact you can still see them listed on amazon. Why would anybody go to all that trouble of creating such a video card as fake. If they were gonna do that they would pick something worth a lot more money.

... no generally what happens with those fake cards is they use an outdated main chip from yesteryear and they usually do work fairly good but you're not going to make it into a high-end card by flashing it or anything like that ..
