Friend wears lots of gold jewellery but says she's not rich?

She wears chunky 22k gold, I know it's legit because I know what fake gold looks like. Anyway I wanna know how she's got the guts to wear it when we live in a rough area. Whenever I walk with her people star at it and I'm worried it makes us targets.

So then ask her.

"Aren't you concerned about wearing expensive jewelry?"

If she says "no" then you can only hope that if anyone is a target it will be her and not you.

Otherwise, it's not really your business.
