No, I wouldn't watch a "Roseanne" show without Rosanne Barr. While some of the characters are likeable, many are not. But, in any case, all of them were created specifically for Rosanne's central character to interact with and respond to. "Darlene", for example, is a very bland role (at least as portrayed by Sarah Gilbert). Her overtly cynical attitude and the tone in which she deliverers her lines, they are all to set up jokes or poignant responses from Roseanne. The same is true for "Becky", "Jackie" "D.J" and the others. Inciting a reaction from Roseanne is the dynamic of the entire series. All of the characters do it, including "Dan". John Goodman is a wonderful actor but even his well-liked character is not the stand-alone variety. "Dan's" effectiveness depends on his zinger-filled relationship with Roseanne It cannot carry a series as is. Whether alone or as part of the same ensemble, IMO, none of the characters can survive in a project separate from Roseanne Barr.
