Nah, they don't have ears. The neighbors are going to hate you and the noise of shotguns do not scare away Wasps.
burning the nest does not even help and you could burn down the house or the tree it is in.
Or hit with the garden hose with cold water and drown the bugs.
Smoke will also drive them away meaning a BBQ that smokes burning wet green wood. They don't like the smell, so briquets may work. Maybe some Doobies? Then you forget what you were doing for what reason. There is always a downside...bummer.
Blue window cleaner in a Plant Misting bottle and you squirt it on them directly, drugs them and they die.
There is more than one kind of wasp. There are the ones that make a paper ball type nest. Those are the mean ones. You shoot up the hole and shoot and shoot and shoot and the window cleaner is a soapy product and gets on their body and they suffocate as the breathe through the cracks in their body, but that is clogged up with the soap. It is the cheapest wasp killer. You may have to redo after a couple days. The only good wasp is a dead wasp. They also live in rotting logs so long as it is dry. (I got stung in the eyeball one time so I have a hate for the creatures)
There are the other nests that are like an open honey comb. Those are garden wasps that eat the harmful bugs in your garden. They are beneficial to you and don't care about you. You can do the window cleaner on them too but chances are some will survive and will build another nest nearby...within 2 days. They like it hot and dry, so they are near hot tin roofs out of the rain. Wood roofs work well too as suitable homes for wasps(the mean ones).
