is the door sliding or hinged? Sliding doors have two or more panels, each of which requires a blind -- and leaves a gap between the blinds. Curtains or drapes don't do that, because they overlap in the center. However, with a sliding door, the center of a curtain/drape is not here the door opening is ... because the opening is on the edge. That's quite inconvenient.
Hinged doors, unless the blinds can be hung on the door itself, require that privacy curtains or blinds go on the outside [since bedroom doors almost always open inward to the room]. that's inconvenient no matter what you choose.
Personally, I like the floor to above the door coverage of full length drapes. And there's less that can go wrong with the operating mechanism.
