And you are comparing apples and oranges. It is entirely possible that her overall level of experience was more than yours which is why she was able to command a higher starting salary than you. She also may perform other duties that you do not know about. The only comparison you can make is your job versus a similar job - comparing clients, experience, performance, etc. Next time you have a performance appraisal, show up with ammunition (cases, outcomes, etc.) and prove you are worth more than what you get paid now.
