While the KJV is excellent poetic wording, it's also hard to read for many people, and for that reason we can recommend the (even more) accurate but easier to read ESV.
Or the also accurate and even more easy to understand NIV.
Many times people will try to give an isolated verse and a false interpretation of that verse, and the only way to get the interpretation right is to actually read through that whole passage or book, like a real reader.
So, the best 'translation' of them all -- full and complete reading through full books, with a listening attitude.
(If someone gives you a NLT (New Living Translation) which tries to paraphrase so simple that it accidentally removes some of the meanings and accidentally adds other things not meant! If given to you, don't trust it too far, but instead get a better Bible that get's the wording correct.)
