What are some good ways to celebrate a birthday in NYC? Something not too expensive. Can t be a bar because not everyone is 21. I d like to stay away from tourist places. Any ideas??

Take a cake onto the Staten Island Ferry and share it with the other passengers - I did that and met some great folks.
