What was the turning point in Trump's relationship with Putin?

Until recently, it seemed that Trump was trying to convince Americans that being friends with Putin was a good thing

Originally Trump wanted access to Siberian oil reserves. That's why he played nice with Putin and appointed Rex Tillerson (former Exxon/Mobile CEO) as Secretary of State. However, once Trump realized he couldn't get rid of Mueller his strategy changed. At that point he began trying to provoke a war with Russia in the hopes he would gain wartime powers which protect him from the Mueller probe.

Probably the fact that, no matter what Trump does, those tapes will come out.

Don't you try to be friendly with people until they give you a reason not to be?

Or do you just automatically decide to not like someone?

Here's what I want to know: Is Trump in cahoots with Russia or is he trying to start a war with them? You *** hats can't have it both ways.

Don’t forget he had a phone conversation with Vladimir Putin not very long ago. Use your imagination.

The turning point is when Putin opposed the United States; by sanctioning the assassination in Britain; clashing in Syria; and trade negotiations. Granted that Trump has some issues, but he is an "America First" guy.

Until recently, it seemed that every democrat in congress was trying to convince Americans that being friends with Putin was a good thing too.

But soon as a plan to smear Trump was conceived the tables turned.

Now as far as Trump is concerned, I believe he starting playing hardball with the Russians once proof of Russian involvement in U.S. election related areas was discovered.

Than the Russian spy assassination thing, and now the Russian support of Assad and Trump is in Russian attack mode.
