Is it easier to learn how to play the guitar, or is it easier to learn the piano/keyboard?

II found piano way easier but then i learned to play to piano after the guitar and people say that the second instrument is always easier.

Both involve reading sheet music - equal.
The piano layout is MUCH simpler to understand.
But then the guitar uses less notes at a time over a shorter range. The piano is more "two-handed" and uses syncopation, harmony much more.

I wouldn't want to use the word "easier". Learning to play any serious musical instrument requires a lot of time and effort and can be very difficult.

I'd say that learning to play the guitar simply (like accompanying a few songs by strumming chords or picking out simple melodies) is less difficult that learning to play the piano. The piano involves both hands being used to play melodies, chords and bass lines and, for beginners, getting the left hand to play one thing whilst the right plays something different is very hard.

I have heard that if you learn to play the piano it then makes learning other instruments easier. From experience I played the piano at an early age but never to a great extent. I taught myself guitar with a few books and online referencing. I then went on to teach myself violin left handed on a right handed violin (as i can't get a left handed violin without paying out a lot of money). I found that my knowledge of music from playing the piano helped a great deal, as I could translate or understand how the music scales fitted to the other instruments quite easy. Easier is for losers. Always looking for the easy way is a shitty way to live one's life. Choose the one you really want to play and go for it without regard to difficulty. You'll thank yourself in the end.

Honestly, I'm not sure. They both take time and effort, and you might find one easier than the other. I guess it depends on each person. One might find it easier to play the guitar, whereas others might find it easier to play the piano/keyboard. The instrument that you like more might seem easier because you enjoy it. As I said, it is not the same for everyone.

Apparently left handed people play the piano better than the guitar. Otherwise you shouldn't have trouble with learning what instrument you want to learn to play. As long as you have the right teaching resources, including online teaching. It's up to you to have the commitment and patience.

they both have their challenges. pianos keys are straight forward. where guitar strings have thousands of different positions. along with strumming only certain strings, and not all five. pianos you need to be good with hand eye coordination, be able to often play two different rhythms at once too.

for me it was wayyyyy easier to play guitar than piano
