Is climbing mt Everest worth the price ? eg. Safety risks?

If you were a fully trained mountain climber you wouldn't even be asking this question! For those who know what they are doing, and who of course are aware of the safety risks, the cost is well worth it. Tourists do not climb Everest, and Nepal is considering banning novice mountaineers as just too many people, who often don't have much experience, are dying on the mountain.

I'd rather take a cruise than have a guided hike where the scenic view includes awkwardly frozen dead people.
