Are Israel's actions against the Palestinians justified?

Update:

Well one time in 2005 Israel did agree to pull all their settlers out of the Gaza Strip to negotiate a two state solution. The Palestinians responded by electing Hamas a organization dedicated to Israel's destruction to lead their government, and Hamas then fired thousands of rockets into Israel. Israel has given the Palestinians aid and money to rebuild and the Palestinians spend it on making terror tunnels into Israel.

Until the Palestinians agree to have peace with Israel then I say yes.

Absolutely. The Israelis have tried to make peace with the so-called "Palestinians" many times. It's always ended with the "Palestinians" saying no, then inciting violence. There's absolutely nothing wrong in taking security measures to protect civilians from terror attacks.

If you look at the number of civilians killed in attacks in Europe in the past four years (Around 470) compare it to the number of civilians killed in Israel in the past four years (around 60) Their security measures work. It may upset some, but if it takes a wall to stop suicide bombers, soldiers patrolling the West Bank, checkpoints to stop terror attacks, then so be it.

Left Gaza for peace - got rockets in return.

Left Lebanon for peace - Got rockets in return.

Left the Sinai - got rockets in return from terror groups the Egyptians are struggling to defeat.

The belief that all it takes is for Israel to pull out of the West Bank then there's peace is nonsense.

There will never be peace while the 'Palestinians' refuse to accept a Jewish state.

As I like to put it in a simple formulation:

    There exist terrorist organizations

They may present a threat to Israel and/or its citizens

Israel has the right to do SOMETHING about it

That SOMETHING may include military action

No, not at all. This is a dysfunctional country for dysfunctional people. There are two countries in one and one has more power than the other and the only reason why Israel exists is as some sort of boo-hoo song for all the victims of the Holocaust by giving them a homeland. Well, 70 years later, we still have conflict, inequality, and prejudice in the region.

Jews are better off in America and Canada than in Israel or Lebanon. Palestinians are better off in other Middle Eastern countries instead of their own.

There really isn't much Israel could do to the Palestinians that wouldn't be justified. The Palestinians have proven over and over that they will settle for nothing less than extermination of Jews in the region. They have violently rejected generous offers of land even while dependent on aid from Israel.

Israel should just wipe them out. Seriously. I doubt any other country would be expected to tolerate a province full of terrorists like that for so long.
