What’s the big deal with the game FortNite?

I keep hearing about all these celebrities like Drake and Kim Kardashian collabing with Youtubers/ Twitch streamers to play it.

Fortnite is a video game played on ps4, Xbox 1, and PC. It is a multiplayer first shooter game. In the game you try to survive by collecting materials, defeat your enemies, and survive the storm. In game you stay within a circle which is the safe zone away from the storm. Most people are obsessed with the game qualities such as sound and graphics.
