Can you use any clay to make butter slime?

I don't have any model magic or daiso can I just use regular oven bake clay?

Don't know but "oven bake clay" is polymer clay (which is oil-based), not an air-dry clay like Model Magic or Daiso (which is water-based). I'd assume you could use most purchased air-dry clays, but don't know if the the homemade grain/flour based clays would work the same.

Also, polymer clays need to be heated to ever harden, where air-dry clays will eventually lose their water through evaporation and *dry* in the air to harden (unless kept away from air).
