What would it hurt to replace all voting machines in the United States before the next elections?

Why? It was the DNC and their private emails that were hacked and exposed by the Russians. They did not hack any voting machines. If the DNC didn't have so much scandalous bullshyt to expose to the American public, there wouldn't have been any problem with the election. The hackers simply showed the country what a bunch of lying cheaters they were.

What would the point be? The Russian tampering in the last election was with the voter information, which is stored on computer networks, making it vulnerable to being hacked. We need cyber experts making that information more secure. One IT expert with the government has said that part of the problem is that most of the people in Congress and in the Executive branch just don't understand how the internet works and how information gets hacked. The voting machines are not all networked together so they could not be hacked on a large scale.

A - the expense
B - trampling on states' rights (states have the right to decide how voting is done in their state)
C - it's unwise (what if there were a security issue with that particular model of voting machine, discovered only after they had all been installed?)
