Mount Everest?

Why do you need a permit to climb mount Everest .its just a mountain to climb .

    Nepal, is the country where Mount Everest is located. Nepal is the country that regulates climbing the Mount Everest. There are two reasons: First, money, climbing that mountain is a big business and makes Nepal big money. So they charge money. Second, Many people have been killed trying to climb the Mount Everest. It puts a lot of strain on Nepal main industry. So, now, every climber must have local guide with him. They are know in the western world as sherpa

    The countries in which the mountain resides get to set the rules. Requiring permits raises money, limits the number of people who can go up, and funds conservation and rescue.
