Why is faith important?

It isn't... The purported value of faith is a throw-back to the ignorant old days, when ancient Greeks and fourth century Romans embraced the erroneous notion that personal mental experiences are capable of influencing the nature of the real physical world. Sadly, the early Catholics and their eventual Protestant spin-offs have shamelessly promoted Aristotle's unsubstantiated philosophy for sixteen centuries and, to this day, humanity is still divided between those who embrace obsolete philosophical nonsense and those who prefer the verified factual knowledge of modern physical science. It's been 377 years since Rene Descartes ignited the Enlightenment by asserting that objective physical matter exists independently of humanity's mental processes and speculated that subjective mental experiences are created within each person's mind by their own living brain. ...an hypothesis that wouldn't be conclusively proved until 1929 -- after the electronic vacuum tube, differential amplifier, and EEG machine were invented. At the beginning of the 21st century, it's clearly obvious that physical science greatly benefits our modern civilization, and that Christianity is a useless and persistent plague of contagious willful ignorance.

because it is foolish to believe in yourself and ignoring the faith of God who created you and everything else.

From seeing all the claims for god and the definition of faith in the book (things that hope for) i woukd call out for scam

Faith isnt trust and in terpretation isnt reliable path for truth

We dont know wheres the original bible is and the bible is a bunch of books put together so they must be examined one by one and not to truth everyone of it because of confirmed claims of some

Plus the conspiracy of the bible being rewritten alot of times by diferent authors in diferent countries with the agenda of controlling population, where the history shows that they did use it has a tool, religion

If god existz without a doubt he could figure something out to keep his word out of free wiling creatures and since hes god he can see the future including the people who disbelief his word sue to insuficient evidence and punishment them with hell

The story itself makes no sense, if he had created a perfect creature this wouldnt happen but thats for another topic

    Faith is an excuse

Faith is part of religion/cultism. No need for such superstition.

Jesus said to be not only hearers of the Word (Scripture) but doers also. The Greek word,"pistis" which is translated as "faith" in English and sometimes as "belief" is necessary to motivate people to do what God and or Jesus, tell us to do. Jesus said of the Israelites who did not understand His parables, "that if they understood, they might believe and then repent (change their behavior) and so be saved."

    Mar 11:22 And G2532 Jesus G2424 answering G611 saith G3004 unto them, G846 Have G2192 faith G4102 in God. G2316

do you know or understand what this word means?

    perhaps on a secular level.

(how about in a biblical nature?)

    FAITH means what?

    1.relating to God

1.the conviction that God exists and is the creator and ruler of all things, the provider and bestower of eternal salvation through Christ

    2.relating to Christ

    2.fidelity, faithfulness

1.the character of one who can be relied on

FAITH is never blind. (not in Christianity)

    FAITH is called TRUST.

the children in the wilderness who were freed from Bondage.

they had faith (but they lacked trust).

    so they really lacked FAITH.

this is what GOD desires of us all...

(its all the same thing when you add them up) - in Christianity.

all the fallen atheists had little of these things...

most atheists here were believers. (until they were not any longer)

sin ,lack of faith , lack of study? (caused this)

*adding in poor teachings* (false teachings?)

    proper study builds simple faith.

having your life fall apart? (knowing GOD will step in and help you)?

    will build faith.

this happens to most people at some time.

when the getting gets rough? (how many fell away)

i lost everything at one point due to life. (call it a work injury)

i had everything and lost everything. (even after doing right....)

but i still was not living the way i should have.

a terrible work accident? you will either become stronger or FOLD.

i hate playing cards. (i did not fold)

what i learned was what Job was supposed to learn.

even at our weakest. GOD is right there ready to HELP.

when we are at our weakest, we are actually at our strongest.

    - GOD steps in the help. (the bible proves this time and time again)

*if we have what*? (your question?)

(we need to love HIM enough to ASK).

after repentance is a must. (i learned)

i was taking care of the parents.

    dad lost his job.

for 19 months...i paid for all things (after the mortgage was paid)

i gave up my apartment after 4 months to deal with things better.

    i moved back home.

after saving to get out....i had my injury. (BAD ONE).

when FATHER is building us up to serve HIM.

HE does things in a special way.

i became fully dependent upon HIM.

i lost all things (healthy included)

but i learned a valuable lesson.

the one Job was supposed to learn.

HE did learn what he needed.

all people have similar stories who are strong willed.

people who are a bit stubborn?

i was taking care of all things (very responsible)

but there was ONE THING i lacked. i was living in the world and enjoying it.

i had plenty of time to heal and study.

since i made my vow to be servant, i have seen so many things.

but my faith is for me....

we all have a fork in the road....

    my advice?

use caution when you choose to ignore the right path...

i know many here have had the same things happen to them.

but i also know some were taken in by satan (not GOD).

i am trying to help these souls as well as all the rest...

most churches can do better...(all have faults)

that is what Revelation chapters 2 and 3 teach.

these churches make a circle on a MAP.

GOD is the kentron. (from Acts 9)?

Saul also had a similar incident. (to turn his life around)

i have a hunger to understand things.

i need to find the truth...

    a curse?

    or a blessing?

as a servant? (its certainly a blessing)

many have the spirit of error leading them today.

most Christians are good students but have not studied to the depth they should.

we all can use more understanding in life...

    so what is faith?

i think i have answered this.

its the same thing as simple fidelity.

but towards GOD (its better than GOLD)

Source(s): this is even more clear... πίστις pístis, pis'-tis; from G3982; persuasion, i.e. credence; moral conviction (of religious truth, or the truthfulness of God or a religious teacher), especially reliance upon Christ for salvation; abstractly, constancy in such profession; by extension, the system of religious (Gospel) truth itself:—assurance, belief, believe, faith, fidelity.

Faith is the means to exclude works. The works of a sinner must necessarily be tainted by sin.

Therefore only God's works and therefore only through the faith He gives.
