LeBron James is highly overrated. Agree or disagree?

What has James even done to earn the title of "The King?" He left Cleveland in dramatic fashion, forming a modern superteam in Miami where he cheated his way to 2 rings. He makes the finals every year and always loses. If Green didn't get suspended for game 5, he'd still have 2 rings. He's done absolutely nothing in the NBA to change the game. He's just a big dude who can get to the basket and score a lot and make some pretty passes. But he's proven in Cleveland that he's a team killer. Their superstar point guard didn't wanna play for him and Kevin Love is apparently hated by everyone. He acts like he's the coach AND the gm. He's a cry baby in games and a big drama queen. And he's gonna leave Cleveland again and cheat his way to more rings. He can't even put up more than 60 wins in a terrible eastern conference on that team. He's completely overrated and there should be an asterick next to every ring he has or may get. He's nothing compared to Wilt, Jubbar, Hakeem, Russel, Bird, Magic and/or Jordan, etc. The younger generation of today probably don't even know any of those names except Jordan and Magic

Strongly agree! Everything you said is pretty much true. He's a great player in a weak league ....nothing spectacular. Put him in the 1980's and he's about the equivalent of Karl Malone

    Hope this helps

Read the answer David, I said Lebron is nothing spectacular. He plays in a very talent-diluted league, which makes him seem better than he really is. Hope that clears it up for you

When MJ comparison gets made, I agree. He's still a top 10 player though.

YES! The best is Michael Jordan.

    Agree.

Even when he leaves a team and the team goes nowhere fast, at the end of the day all it is, is basketball.

LeBron James is not 'necessary' for anything at all.

I disagree he is not overrated unless you think he is as good as or better than Michael Jordan.

    Disagree.

    1. Put any player in NBA history on the Cavs in Lebron's place and Golden State would be gunning for a 4-peat.

    2. Only NBA player who have 30000 points, 7000 assists, 8000 rebounds

    3. Only player to lead both teams in points, assists, and rebounds in NBA Finals (did it twice)

    4. Only player to average a triple-double in the NBA Finals (in a losing effort)

    5. Strip Lebron off the Cavs and they're a lottery team (including the championship team in 16). The Cavs are 4-21 in games Lebron sat since he returned in 2014.

Lebron is (at worst) a top-4 player in NBA history right now. I have him at #2 right now
