The letter states: "Because of the age of your debt, we will not sue you for it and we will not report it to any credit reporting agency.

I was reading on some websites that I have a 30-day window to request validation for proof of the debt which if they cannot find the claim is dropped. I also read by sending the letter I'm acknowledging the debt and that changes my legal statute of time ie Limitations Act and they can then take me to court.

What should I do?

It also stated on the letter: "This communication is from a debt collector and is an attempt to collect debt. Any information obtained will be used for that purpose."

Will pick best answer thank you!
