We must be allergic to attacking effectively.
Like I said after another game, we just don't commit that many players forward, when we get some momentum and it's probably due to our sh*t defence.
Despite the performance, we improved in the second half and still had some clear-cut chances, enough to get at least two goals, but our attacking is so sh*t it times, that I guess it's fair we didn't put them away.
Like Dave said in another answer, the best thing we can do, is pack the midfield, to protect the defence as much as possible - if Pogba's in there too, we may be able to create a little more too, because on paper at least, we have got half-decent attacking players and with those players, we should be playing much better and attacking effectively.
The only positive I can see, is Lukaku improving on the ball, when not in front of goal e.g. making passes - I feel he did okay today, though I do think he messed up one pass.
Wow, a manager who's known for being ultra-defensive managing a team that can't defend, despite being in his second season here - yes he's brought in two centre backs in his time so far, but still.
I don't think we're going to play much better under Mourinho, except may the odd game or at least until we're solid defensively, but even then who knows.
If we finish outside top four this season and don't go far in the Champions League, then I'm sure he'll get sacked.
We're such a broken team...
