HI! So, my best friend is 18 and I am 17. My friend and I are going to Cancun, Mexico. When we are going, can she check us into the hotel?
I won't be 18 just yet when we go, but she will. We are both staying in a room at a hotel together, so will she be considered my guardian and will she be able to check me and her in? Thanks.

Best to check with a travel agency to see what your options are. Even though 18 years of age is considered an adult in Mexico, many resort hotels will not let anyone under 21 to check in. Some, depending on time of year, will allow 18 years of age, but very few.

You should just ask your parents to make a reservation.
